About the Journal

The International Journal of Hydrological and Environmental for Sustainability (IJHES) [e-ISSN: 2828-5050 & p-ISSN:2828-6405] is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge, technological innovation, and sustainable solutions in hydrology, environmental science, environmental engineering, and Earth sciences. The journal serves as a platform that bridges academia, industry, and policy by encouraging contributions that integrate robust scientific research with practical and scalable applications for sustainable water and environmental management.

IJHES aims to publish high-quality original research articles, reviews, and case studies that advance the understanding of hydrological systems, environmental processes, and sustainability-oriented solutions at local, regional, and global scales. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary studies that combine hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, environmental chemistry, and geosciences to support sustainable water resource management, environmental protection, pollution mitigation, and subsurface system characterization.

The scope of IJHES includes, but is not limited to, surface water and groundwater hydrology, hydrogeology, water quality assessment, environmental geochemistry, contaminant transport, isotopic and chemical processes in surface and subsurface waters, geothermal and groundwater system evaluation, and Earth system processes related to water–environment interactions. The journal also covers process-based, analytical, experimental, and geoscientific approaches that contribute to sustainable development, climate and land-use impacts on hydrological systems, and environmentally relevant geophysical investigations.

By promoting interdisciplinary and evidence-based research of international relevance, IJHES seeks to contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable solutions for contemporary environmental and water-related challenges.
